My hubby likes them.

We used to watch sports all the time. but in my opinion, these people get paid way too much for doing something they love and having fun.  Roll Eyes

I can't ever pass up a good soccer or hockey game though. In hockey, I live for the "throwdowns".

We do watch the UK basketball games, and hubby watches some other college basketball teams, and then a few baseball teams.

but, we don't watch as much sports as we used to.

I agree that players are paid way too much. When the baseball players went on strike in 96, I vowed to never go back to another game and I haven't. I do take in a legends game occasionally. I never have gotten in to hockey because I still don't knowthe rules. I'm convinced that that's why hockey has never been a hit on TV. Lotsof people still don't know the rules. I have never cared for soccer because they play all those minutes and the score might be 1-0.

I love baseball, love the Reds, they are doing really well, the pitching staff has turned a fairly good team into a pennant contender.  GO REDS.

I was a young kid during the Big Red Machine years and I have been a lifelong fan.  My Dad used to take his vacation during spring training and we would head for Florida, and hang around Al Lopez Field for a couple of days.  It was awsome.

Why do players make so much money?

why doesn't Kentucky have their own professional ball team?
I'm sure people would want it.

Strange stat on the Reds this year, they lead the NL in runs scored but they also lead the league in being shutout, 12 times now.

Big series starts tonight with the Cards. Need to win the first one to guarantee staying in first place.

Despite being swept by the Cards, I still like the Red's chances of winning the NL Central. If they can stay within 2 or 3 games of the Cards for the next two or three weeks, 19 of their last 22 are against teams below 500.
